Day 4 ½ (Tuesday May 31, 2011)

Today we met in the middle of the week to get some more blade work done and to caulk the second rotor mold.  This would be chapter 7 and 15 in the “Homebrew Wind Power” book.

Roughly 5 students stayed for the duration of two hours. The blade team did more chiseling and shaping of the blades. The blade team was trying to finish the first blade completely, so on Saturday when the Boeing aerodynamic engineers came they could critic the blade and provide input to help improve the shape. The rotor team caulked the rotor mold and the lid.
